Biblical Fiction
Biblical fiction is similar to Christian fiction – in fact some Christian fiction falls under the category of Biblical fiction as well. The difference is that Biblical fiction is a fictional account set in Biblical times or is a fictional account about a Biblical character.
While there is a lot of research that goes into the writing of these books, you should read with the understanding that these books are fictional. Some characters do not appear in the Bible while others there is little written about. Authors take liberties in including conversations and events that the Bible never records. There is nothing wrong with this as they are kept within the intent of scripture but they also shouldn’t be mistaken for an addition to scripture.
